Serving the Injured. It is not a saying. It is a calling. Our family has first hand experience with the devastation of an auto accident. My wife was in graduate school, had just given birth to our first child six weeks earlier, and was on her way to the library to work on a term paper when a 16-passenger van made a left turn in front of her. I came home to an empty house. There was a pot off to the side of a lit gas burner, the infant and babysitter were gone? Then the phone rang. Multiple broken bones, and emergency surgery. The world changed at that moment. The happy ending was the result of the hardest working mother I have ever seen. Robin worked harder at her recovery than I thought humanly possible. But the injuries are ones she carries to this day. She made it through, but it was never easy. I went to law school because I felt empowered to help change for the better, the world around me. I left the 100+ attorney insurance defense firm to pursue my life’s calling - to serve the injured in their time of need.

There are a lot of choices out there, but you won’t find an attorney more dedicated, hard-working or more motivated.

We help people when they are down – injured, out of work, worried, and often without a legal voice about what is happening to them. An injury can’t be undone, but it can be made worse by the conduct of the defendant, the employer, or an insurance company. I won’t let that happen on my watch. We understand what it is like to live with the loss. Although it’s not going to undo the injury, full and fair compensation is central to your healing.

Over 95% of our cases come from client or attorney referrals. We earn our good reputation with each new case. Many of our clients are friends for a lifetime.

In my spare time I enjoy biking. I have competed in over 100 triathlons in the sprint and olympic distance and finished two half-ironman. I live with my wife of 30 years in South City and have three grown children I am very proud of and an Australian Shepard, Yadi, who thinks I am pretty special. I look forward to getting to know you and your family.

Wolfgram Law Gil Gherardini Web
Attorney

Gil Gherardini

Gil has been practicing law since 1990 and brings unique expertise to the firm. As a former defendant’s attorney, Gil is familiar with the opposition’s perspective. His perspective helps us anticipate the other side’s legal approach more effectively. That way, we can take measures to defeat it. Gil is also a specialist in Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) railroad law. He has helped many railroad workers win compensation for their injuries.

Why are you a personal injury attorney?
When I get a fair recovery for a client, I honestly feel I have accomplished something significant. When clients tell me I did a good job for them, I am satisfied.

Whom do you serve?
I serve the everyday person on the street; it’s your neighbor, your mom or dad that we serve here. With recent changes in workers’ compensation and tort law in Missouri, winning a case has become much harder. Additionally, the value of awards has been arbitrarily capped with no regard to the severity of the injury. So, now more than ever, working with a skilled and conscientious attorney is especially important.

What advice do you give clients most often?
Get the treatment that you need, and get it now. Going on the record early with your pain and injuries is always in the best interest of your case. In cases involving a railroad, always get advice from an attorney who specializes in FELA cases, and be sure to do it before the railroad company holds any type of hearings.

Why should I choose Wolfgram Law?
We invest time upfront with new clients in order to really listen to what’s going on. We will fairly and accurately evaluate a case. I’m not going to stand up and promise you a million dollars in an unpromising case. I have defense attorney experience, so I have a very clear view of what is happening on both sides of the table. My unique perspective translates into more claims, stronger cases, and higher settlements in our clients’ pockets.

Tell us about a recent case.
Recently Henry,* who suffers from carpal tunnel syndrome, came into the office to discuss his case. I spent some time getting to know Henry and his medical situation, and conducted a number of interviews with him. While talking with him, I learned that he also had neck pain, which he had thought was unrelated to his job. We ended up filing a second claim for Henry’s neck injury, which resulted in an additional $20,000 in awards that he would never have received otherwise.

What is your unique role here?
I have many years of specialized experience representing injured railroad workers in cases under the Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA). I also devote a considerable amount of my practice to representing injured workers in their worker’s compensation claims and third-party liability claims.

Todd Boehlje

Todd Boehlje is committed to improving the lives of St. Louisans by helping them navigate through our complicated legal system to reach a fair and just resolution of their claims. My wife and I have called the City of St. Louis our home for over 25 years. We are raising our family here and our 3 boys have attended the St. Louis Public Schools.
I have been practicing law since 1996 and have spent my entire career representing clients in cases involving automobile accidents, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice, wrongful death, premises liability and product liability. In an effort to provide as many services as possible, I also consult with clients on probate and business-related matters.

Attorney Todd Boehlje
At Wolfgram and Associates, I am part of a team of attorneys with over 90 years of combined experience. Our attorneys, paralegals and support staff collaborate on a daily basis. This ensures that provide the best possible legal representation to our clients and obtain a good result for them. We fight the battle against insurance companies. This enables our clients to focus on healing, taking care of their families and work responsibilities.

No amount of money can take away the pain, stress and inconvenience of being injured. However, getting a settlement check from an insurance company is an acknowledgment to the client of responsibility for the injury. In addition, it provides some financial stability. Nothing brings me more satisfaction than being able to hand a settlement check to an injured client at the end of a case.
We recently helped the family of a victim of medical malpractice obtain justice and compensation for the death of their loved one. It was a complicated case involving a mountain of documents and hundreds of hours of work. We traveled thousands of miles to confront the doctor responsible for the mistake and persevered against an insurance company with very deep pockets that spared no expense in defending the claim. Ultimately, we were able to win a large settlement for our clients. The experience we gained in staring the insurance company down and prevailing was incredibly valuable.

Eric Wolfgram

I was born and raised in the City of St. Louis. I attended Classical Junior Academy, and then Metro Academic and Classical High School. In college I earned my undergraduate degree in Philosophy, and was in the top of my class at Quinnipiac University School of Law.

I have represented clients in wrongful death, premises liability, worker’s compensation and automobile accidents. I have been recognized by my peers in The Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers magazine since 2013.

At Wolfgram & Associates, we spend the time to treat our clients right and get them the results they deserve.
Of all the things that I have done as a lawyer, I find personal injury to be my favorite. When I am able to recover money for my clients, it makes my day. Those cases where the fight has been all that much harder makes the result that much sweeter.

I remember a recent case where my client’s employer sent her to a doctor who conducted a really awful examination and denied her claim. The medical records showed an injury, but the employer’s insurance company really gave us a hard time. The employer’s doctor’s report made it a tough case. However, in the end we obtained a good financial result. In addition, it also validated my client’s physical complaints and feelings.

In another recent case, my client’s auto insurance company denied her claim based upon some language in her policy. We are able to convince a judge that the language in the insurance policy favored my client, not the insurance company. When I called my client to tell her we had won, and how much money would be coming to her, she cried for joy. That was really one of the best days I have had as a lawyer.
