Attorney

Gil Gherardini

Gil Gherardini has been practicing law since 1990 and brings unique expertise to the firm. As a former defendant’s attorney, Gil is familiar with the opposition’s perspective. His perspective helps us anticipate the other side’s legal approach more effectively. That way, we can take measures to defeat it. Gil is also a specialist in Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) railroad law. He has helped many railroad workers win compensation for their injuries.

Why are you a personal injury attorney?

When I get a fair recovery for a client, I honestly feel I have accomplished something significant. When clients tell me I did a good job for them, I am satisfied.

Whom do you serve?

I serve the everyday person on the street; it’s your neighbor, your mom or dad that we serve here. With recent changes in workers’ compensation and tort law in Missouri, winning a case has become much harder. Additionally, the value of awards has been arbitrarily capped with no regard to the severity of the injury. So, now more than ever, working with a skilled and conscientious attorney is especially important.

What advice do you give clients most often?

Get the treatment that you need, and get it now. Going on the record early with your pain and injuries is always in the best interest of your case. In cases involving a railroad, always get advice from an attorney who specializes in FELA cases, and be sure to do it before the railroad company holds any type of hearings.

Why should I choose Wolfgram Law?

We invest time upfront with new clients in order to really listen to what’s going on. We will fairly and accurately evaluate a case. I’m not going to stand up and promise you a million dollars in an unpromising case. I have defense attorney experience, so I have a very clear view of what is happening on both sides of the table. My unique perspective translates into more claims, stronger cases, and higher settlements in our clients’ pockets.

Tell us about a recent case.

Recently Henry,* who suffers from carpal tunnel syndrome, came into the office to discuss his case. I spent some time getting to know Henry and his medical situation, and conducted a number of interviews with him. While talking with him, I learned that he also had neck pain, which he had thought was unrelated to his job. We ended up filing a second claim for Henry’s neck injury, which resulted in an additional $20,000 in awards that he would never have received otherwise.

What is your unique role here?

I have many years of specialized experience representing injured railroad workers in cases under the Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA). I also devote a considerable amount of my practice to representing injured workers in their worker’s compensation claims and third-party liability claims.
